Jumbo Reservoir Jackpot II - July 14, 2012
Following up on the recent announcement by the Colorado Parks & Wildlife of a fish salvage, due to low water levels that were still rapidly receeding farther, the COBF was looking forward to this tournament with hopes of a fish count equal or greater than our first tournament at Jumbo in 2011.
The lake had it’s own suprise in store for the COBF though, with water clarity between chocolate milk and three day old black coffee. The fish very well could have been plentiful in the lower water, but they were almost impossible to be seen.
Seven teams made the trip to extreme Northeastern Colorado for this tournament.

Team Head Shot took First place with a Big 5 Fish weight of 28# even. They were only able to harvest fish but with them averaging over 9# each it was enough to take the win. Those three fish allowed Head Shot to take home a cool $105 for this tournament. Team Head Shot also took total fish side pot with their three fish. Congrats guys.
Third place for Jumbo 2012, was taken by the Kansas based team Half Fast. Shooting three fish for a Big 5 weigh of 16.6# and earning $42. Welcome to Colorful Colorado guys, now go back to the land of OZ! In all seriousness, way to make a showing and we welcome you to future COBF.

Double Tap seized second place with their Big 5 weight of 24.4#. They were the only team able to actually harvest the 5 fish to weigh, their shooting allowed them to pocket a nice $63. Good shooting guys, your finish was well earned.
With only one other team shooting a fish during this tournament the finish list is short: Last Minute – 4th Place
Team Last Minute only shot one fish, but managed to make it worthwhile by taking the heaviest fish award with 10.8#, narrowly beating out the next biggest by only .4#. That one fish netted Last Minute $75, and the title of heaviest fish for Jumbo 2012. Nice shooting. |
The COBF would like to thank everyone that participated and we look forward to seeing you at our last 2012 Tournament – Eleven Mile.
